Landscape Painting with Robert Brown On Saturdays November 21st & 28th from 1:30pm- 5:30pm students will learn the basics of painting on location outdoors using a limited palette of primary colors. The first lesson will introduce students to framing and painting an outdoor scene in monochrome. The following three sessions will build on what's learned from making the monochrome studies, introducing the limited color palette and making efforts to represent a scene realistically by focusing on value and color temperature differences. For beginning and intermediate painters in oil, watercolor and acrylic. Demonstrations will be done in oil.
Plaster Mold Making with Penny Overcash On Saturday, December 5th from 10:00am- 2:00pm this class will cover plaster basics and how ratios with water and temperature can make a strong and durable mold for years of use. The instructor will show how to make lightweight molds using foam and plaster combinations, how to use modeling clay for an individual artistic mold. Each student will be required to bring in an object (bowl, plate or vessel made from wood, glass, etc.) to use for a model to make a mold. Each student should complete at least two molds to be used for many years to come. Supplies are included in $60 registration fee.
