The Town of Cornelius PARC Department is proud to announce the 4th season of the Cornelius Youth Orchestra instrumental music program! This dynamic group meets on Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:30 PM, at Bailey Road Recreation Center (Bailey Middle School) located at 11900 Bailey Road.
The Cornelius Youth Orchestra is seeking beginning, intermediate and advanced young musicians for its growing programs. Both levels include a 30 minute sectional instruction from qualified music instructors and 30 – 40 minutes of group orchestra rehearsal. It’s not too late to join the fun!
The
Cornelius Youth Orchestra is available for youth musicians with three or more years of music instruction and is intended for those musicians that can perform young orchestra musical compositions.
The
Cornelius Cadet Orchestra is available for youth musicians with one or more years of music instruction and is intended as a beginning orchestra program.
Both programs are under the direction of Mr. Eduardo Cedeño who is the Orchestra Director for the Cannon School in Concord. Mr. Cedeño is a professional operatic tenor, accomplished violinist and master conductor. He has traveled the globe teaching, singing and conducting throughout Europe, South America and the United States of America. Nanette Haraden, one of the co-founders of the Lake Norman Orchestra, is the program director. She brings her organizational expertise to the Cornelius Youth and Cadet Orchestras.

Both programs are currently accepting registrations. Practices will begin August 12th.
Tuition scholarships are available, so no youth musician will be turned away because of inability to pay.
*Space in each program is on a first come basis and is limited to the first 60 youth musicians enrolled in both orchestra programs. Click here to register!!!
