Cornelius and Huntersville Parks and Recreation Departments have changed their senior softball league's name to recognize Ralph Lambert, who played a vital role getting senior softball established in the Lake Norman area.
This purpose of the Lake Norman Senior Softball league is to promote physical fitness among adults, both men and women, 50 years of age and older. 
The spring softball league will consist of a ten-game regular season with a tournament at the end of the season.  All games will be held at Torrence Chapel Park.

Registration for the Fall 2009 Season is currently underway!
Registration:  July 1 - August 7
Registration Fee:  $30 per resident; $45 per non-resident
Players Meeting:  August 5, 6:30 pm, at HPRD offices
Skills Days:  Saturday, August 8, 9:00 am and 
                  Wednesday, August 12, 6:30 pm
                  Torrence Chapel Park Field #1
First Game:  August 26
Tournament:  October 31

Open field time is available on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Torrence Chapel Park in Cornelius.  All interested adults are welcome to participate during these Saturday sessions, regardless of whether or not they are participating on a league team.
