Want to meet new friends or have something fun to do that looks great on your college application?  Join our newly chartered LKN Teen Council for middle and high school students.  This organization provides service projects, workshops, campus cruises, and the opportunity to go on teen trips! Examples of our ideas are sponsoring activities local events, selling popcorn at the Outdoor Movie Series, assisting with local festivals set-up, forums etc. You may come to the meetings to join the council or just come to check us out!  All committed members and will receive a free council t-shirt.

On January 30, 2009, the Lake Norman Teen Council achieved affiliation with the N.C. State Youth Council, which is a program of the N.C. Youth Advocacy and Involvement Office. This affiliation allows our members to attend state wide quarterly leadership conferences, legislative assembly sessions and team building events. Local members are now eligible for nomination and election to statewide office.

Upcoming Meetings:

The Executive Board will meet at 6:00pm and the Teen Council member meeting will meet at 7:00pm.  Meetings will cover planning for activities, fundraisers and events and social outings.  If you have friends that are interested in participating in the council, please ask them to attend a meeting.  Please sign in at every meeting.
